TCS bags 5-year contract from UK Home office

The big corporate story today, IT major TCS  has bagged another contract from the UK Government. It has secured five year contract with the UK Home office to implement their disclosure and barring service.

It is learnt that the deal is likely to be valued at 145 million pounds. TCS has beaten the United Kingdom's number one BPO Capita to clinch the deal.

This is the second time in a row that TCS has won a contract from the UK Government. The contract will be implemented immediately. This deal was first reported by CNBC-TV18 in October this year.

The stock was up one percent in the morning trade.
