Mylan offers reference guide via iPhone, iPad

Mylan Inc. has unveiled its Generic Brand Reference Guide (GBR) as an iPhone and iPad app.
The Southpointe-based generic pharmaceutical company said the 2012 version of the free identification guide to brand name and generic medicines is available for free at the Apple app store. It has a weights and measure calculator plus abbreviations converter and cross reference between brands and generics.
"The GBR provides a comprehensive and up-to-date list of the generic and brand names for more than 2,000 separate oral and liquid dosage forms, as well as injectable and transdermal products," said Mylan North America President Tony Mauroin a prepared statement.
Mylan (Nasdaq: MYL) is also offering the GBR free in a printed form.
