I bought this phone from the local market for a price of 5.2k.
After several reading various reviews and visiting various websites and calling the micromax customer care, I zeroed in on this phone. This phone is awesome, much powerful then any current phones available on the market atleast in sub 10k bracket.
My requirements from the phone are pretty of a "professional", I required a quick response from the phone, email with attachment capacity (good size capacity), internet with edge and Wifi compulsory as I move home to office and both are wifi enabled and word/pdf/excel capabilities. Plus a requirement for future upgradation is required.
Then when I saw this model only except for the name of "Micromax" the specs of the same were marvelous and I fell for it as soon as I saw it in hand in the local shop. For the price, when I saw Flipkart, I was amazed to see the same priced at 5.6k as the other shop though showed the price of 4.99k (adexmart.com). But the reputation of the adexmart not being up to mark, I decided to buy in the local market. After rounding in some of the shops in Pune, I found a deal in 5.2k, from "The mobile Store" chain after the negotiations.
For selecting the mobile, I went through YouTube videos as some of the up loaders like fluffy rabbit has excellent reviews for short and sweet explanation and were very supportive for answering some of my queries.
Pros:-
1. 1 Ghz Processor
2. Capacitive touch screen
3. Good shortcuts provided in the Android.
4. Adobe Flash Supported (atleast tested on videos)
5. Nearly all the "general" apps work, (I have not tested the Games, don't find time for it)
Cons:-
1. Small and insensitive on/off/screen locking button, come on I have big fingers, I cannot press a small button deep enough easily for opening/unlocking the screen. THIS is the BIGGEST problem for the Mobile.
2. Chinese charging system, USB+Charger adapter == Charger. (It was so bad for me, I bought a separate independent charger for it for 60 bucks).
3. Headphones, it screams "Chinese" and are the biggest disadvantage for a person like me who like to have long chats only on headphones.
4. Poor Music volume on the earphone. (Required for me during driving). Rocker volumes buttons on other side (right side)
5. No PC Suite available for data backup of the contacts and sms or sharing of internet through the USB Cord.
6. Less internal memory. but this always depends on the users what to install and what not to.
7. Non Functional Aisha, (it is acceptable that you don't get a sexy girl to answer your voice commands for this price).
I have placed an order for a 16 GB micro SD Card from Flipkart for the abundant storage capabilities. And I already see it is in my city. Kudos for the Flipkart.
Verdict: - Buy this hardware for only professional use.
