Australian woman jailed for stealing from Nigerian scam artists

One would think that in this day & age, people would be more cautious when opening emails that claim to want to send them large sums of money in exchange for access to their bank accounts; however that doesn’t seem to be the case here as a woman who was unknowingly employed by a group of high profile Nigerian scam artists has been jailed in wake of stealing $30,000.
Sarah Jane Cochran-Ramsey was jailed this evening by Nigerian authorities  after the Nigerian scammersthemselves  reported her for stealing $30k  during her 2010 employment with the group.
Cochran’s  exact job was to provide access to an Australian bank account opened in her name which was where the Nigerian’s claimed  they would transfer excessively large sums of money in exchange for her help.
Not sure what the ‘Nigerian Scam’ is? Well, in a nut-shell it’s about as common as a  hacker gaining access to your Facebook account these days. Typically they strike through email however; usually claiming to be a descendant  of some kind of fallen Nigerian ‘hero’ or somebody whose died of illnesses like cancer.
